Teaching children about farming needn't be messy or difficult. This
fun-looking, small sized duck or goose house is suitable for up to four
call ducks, or a pair of larger birds like Aylesburys, which can be
kept in schools to show children how to
care for farm animals and
to
understand where their food comes from.
Duck coops have historically been made of wood, but nooks and crannies
in wood store dirt and attract mites, which eventually leads to
unhealthy birds and unpleasant odours that are notoriously difficult to
get rid of. This large sized plastic duck coop with optional
accessories is exceptionally easy to clean and helps to keep your ducks
and geese sheltered and safe in their hut as well as germs away from
children.
Plastic duck houses
These Green Frog duck houses are both
colourful and
ingenious in design.
As robust as wood but without the dirt, mites and bad smells. The
panels of the duck pen are held in place with quick-release pins, so
they're incredibly
easy to operate - for children
too. These pins mean the coop is easy to assemble and dismantle if you
need to move it, store it or, most importantly, for cleaning your coop
regularly. The pins allow easy access to the inside of the chicken coop
and to move or carry the hut there are handles in the roof.
Because these duck houses are made of plastic they can be
power-washed
and dry quickly.
They keep temperatures inside the duck coop down, which is important to
the wellbeing of your ducks and the roof pieces are attractively
coloured to set off your playground or other outdoor space beautifully.
The rest of the duck house is black.
Your ducks or geese will be kept shaded and also cool since this coop
has
three adjustable air vents
(a fourth vent is non-adjustable) allowing in plenty of fresh air. In
keeping with the smart design of these coops, vents are classic and
circular, plus there's a ramp for your ducks and geese to enter and
exit.
Keeping ducks and geese in a school
If you're buying your first coop or you are new to keeping poultry then
much of the guidance given below for keeping chickens in a school
environment is equally appropriate for ducks and geese:

Wheels set
There are bound to be occasions when you need to move your duck
house(s). Whereas old style duck coops are heavy and uncomfortable to
move, these plastic duck houses can be placed on top of this wheels set
and easily moved by anyone and without assistance.
These wheels will not be suitable for soft ground.
Whatever your needs for bird farming and farming education,
these colourful and clean duck houses protect your ducks and geese from
predators and disease and keep their hut at an optimum temperature
whilst making good use of innovative design that inspires the
minds of children.
With adjustable air vents and a wheels set (purchased separately) you
have all the tools you need to keep your ducks and geese comfortable
without any fuss, as well as teaching children how to care for these
animals, hands-on.
