Teaching children about farming needn't be messy or difficult.
This fun-looking, medium sized chicken loft is
the largest in our range, suitable for up to ten large or
twelve small chickens, which can be kept
in schools to show children how to care for farm animals
and to understand where their food comes from.
Chicken coops have historically been made of wood, but nooks and
crannies in wood store dirt and attract mites, which eventually leads
to unhealthy chickens and unpleasant odours that are notoriously
difficult to get rid of. This medium sized plastic chicken coop with
optional accessories is exceptionally easy to clean and helps to keep
your chickens sheltered and safe in their hut as well as germs away
from children.
Plastic chicken coops
These Green Frog chicken coops are both colourful
and ingenious in design.
As robust as wood but without the dirt, mites and bad smells. The
panels of the chicken coop are held in place with quick-release pins,
so they're incredibly easy to operate -
for children
too. These pins mean the coop is easy to assemble and dismantle if you
need to move it, store it or, most importantly, for cleaning your coop
regularly. The pins allow easy access to the inside of the chicken coop
and to move or carry the hut there are handles in the roof.
The
chicken coop is raised off the ground, so your birds can nestle
underneath to find shelter as well as go inside the loft area. There is
permanent ventilation around the eaves and there is an adjustable,
circular vent at the front. Because these chicken lofts are made of
plastic they can be power-washed and dry quickly.
They keep temperatures inside the chicken coop down, which is important
to the wellbeing of your chickens and the roof pieces are attractively
coloured to set off your playground or other outdoor space
beautifully. The rest of the coop (the walls) is available in
a choice of black or green. Please
make your choice at the bottom of this page.
This medium sized chicken loft comes with two perches, but if
you have meat birds or larger breeds such as Orpingtons or Brahmas
that prefer not to perch, you needn't fit them.

the door opener on the inside of your chicken coop and the rotating
door is replaced by a vertical sliding model. If
you would like this function please select the
"including Automatic Door Kit" option at the bottom of this page.
However, if you wish to retain the option to add this feature at a
later date, then please select the option that says
